September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

I know I'm late, but I've struggled to find the right words. Kelly(2) wrote up a beautiful blog on her beautiful boy Joshua for CCAwareness Month. As I was looking at a Candlelighter's YouTube, I came across another one that has me in tears....

And another...for all the "Angels" which my Jordyn is part of and Kelly's Josh is, my best friend Tami's daughter Sydney...

The song is so beautiful. I wish so much no other parent had to know the horror of watching their child die from cancer....this is something that I believe one day truly could be cured. If only more people cared and actually did something.

I read Kelly's blog. It is very touching. It even opened my eyes on signs to look for.

PS...
thanks for the comment.

PSS.. are you going to the grand opening of the new PX? They're doing some sort of first 200 people get a certificate.. or something like that. I'll be there! lol

I wish no child had to deal with this disease. I can't even imagine it was hard enough when my elderly mother had it much less a child full of life. Touching tribute.
Take care, Chrissie

Thanks for sharing your pain--I don't think it is something anyone can understand until they have been through it.  My heart breaks for you and all parents that have gone through it (or are going through it). One of the girls that we met while my godson was in the hospital earned her angel wings on Saturday and my heart is just breaking for her and her family. I'm glad that she is now pain free but it still hurts.  Praying for you and your family!
