A few thoughts

Ok so quite a few of our beloved journalers have moved off aol, and I can't say I blame them one bit, still thinking about it myself, but part of it's sheer laziness! I have read tons and tons of journals and keep reading in peoples guestbooks one person who's name shall remain nameless for NOW, how she won't miss people, some nasty thoughts, and just rudeness all over. I believe this person also says she's a Christian, yet is showing anything but. As a Christian I know we're not perfect. I know we have things we get fired up about, etc. I also know that as a person who PAYS for my AOL, I do NOT apperciate for one second aol whoring my journal out, and that IS what they are doing with these ads.

My thoughts on this person is, if you really aren't going to miss everyone who already has left or are leaving, why even coment? Why not just sit on your hands and SHUT UP? Seriously it's not that hard, I know I've done it many times and others probably do it on a daily basis, and possibly with you. If you have anger issue's, WRITE ABOUT THEM in your OWN JOURNAL, no need to tell off everyone else.

I will go and read anyone's journal, whether it's on aol or blogspot or anywhere else they chose to go...if I enjoyed them enough on aol, I am going to continue to enjoy their writings.

Just "my thoughts"

Some people have really gone and shown their true colors haven't they?

Couldn't have said it better! I'm still having computer problems but when they are fixed, I, like you, will continue reading my friends' journals, no matter where they are.

Robin you're right, there are some/ONE who's really showing HER/his true colors. It's annoying and sad.

What's happened to the community in general is very sad.  A lot of the joy has dissipated, but like you I shall still read those that I have love.  Pennie

Thanks for sharing.  None of us liked it, but goodness, no need to get ugly.  Some people, huh?

Yes having AOL sure does make us lazy and dumb sometimes dosen't it lol.  I keep going back and forth on if I really am leaving or if those are just fighting words.. I am still praying that this issue will be resolved.. it could happen.. you never know lol.  I think I am going to have to strech my self and learn how to keep a blog roll or RSS feed.  Till then you can find me over here http://marybea.blogspot.com/

And yes I will still read aol journals that don't move.

Much Love,
Mary

I will be continuing to read thier journals where ever they go also.  I am staying with aol though.  To many of us in this household that use it and only me with the journal so I guess they will win!  Linda

Oh dear, I hope this isn't anyone I know or visit.  I'm getting kind of tired of the rudeness of some of the people in our community over this ad thing.  We should protest in a manner that will be heard, not in a manner that will give us bad publicity.  I think in general it's just not right to be rude.  My mother and grandmother always used to say this old fashioned saying, "if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all."  To this day I teach that to my own children.  Hugs,
Lisa
