30 Days of Thanksgiving Day 9

Today's a great day! I'm thankful for new friends and money in the bank! We're going to dinner tonight to celebrate the birthday of a new friend of mine/ours. They're one of the new chaplain families and Aimee and I connected almost immediately. Her husband, Mike is throwing a small intimate surprise party/dinner for her at a wonderful Italian resturant near by tonight! I'm excited. We also have been waiting for travel pay to hit our account and it's in there as of this morning!!! It was a good size of money! We were really hoping that it'd hit before we left Monday morning for Edelweiss! I have to say it just feels good to know the money is in the account. We're transferring the majority of it to savings. We will get paid next week while we're on vacation and when we get home we'll be tranferring 3/4 of that to savings too! We can and will be living much more frugally. We plan to get Christmas shopping done in the next 2 1/2 -3 weeks. I hope to get gifts picked up while down in the Garmish area for friends and family who we buy for and hopefully find some wonderful things for the boys as well. We're going for less is more this year for Christmas. A few computer games, a few toys, some arts and crafts for the boys, and some clothes which Jacob especially needs. With him being older not so many hand me downs comes his way, Jack's the one who's loaded with those! :)

Well, I'm off to get ready. We're going to go to the bank and transfer money, pick up a cd for Aimee, and get a money order for an ebay purchase I made!
