Sand Filled Days

I don't understand the point of having children and then not allowing them or at the very least expecting them to get dirty. You take them to a place with sand and then expect them to go home without sand on them? Just doesn't seem realistic to me.

I guess I just don't see the point. Kids get dirty. You give them a bath. It's just not that big of a deal IMO. Yes..it's a vent about a friend who's got issue's letting her kids get "too dirty". They can play in the sand, but can't get dirty. It's rediculous imo.

Here's some pictures of my boys getting good and dirty! LOL

See I believe the same thing, I am also the first one that will step up and say if your children are with me, bring some extra clothes and expect a super hyper ready for a nap child when you pick them up. I'm the parent that will sit in the mud pit with the kids making mud pies, Justin is the one who teach them how to run and jump into the pool or how to cannonball. Kids get dirty, the dirtier they are the harder they played and the more fun they have. Your boys look adorable!!

I don't think it is so much about them getting dirty, it is about them get the house, the car, etc dirty as well!  LOL

I'm with you.  I have a friend who has the same problem.  But she knows she has that problem and tries really hard not to freak out.  It's pretty funny to watch her!

You are a good mom, Christy, to realize how important play like this is for kids; for their imagination etc. Yep, a bath and there goes the dirt; no problems there.

I used to get in the sandbox and play with my kids sometimes making sand castles etc. Lots of fun and memories made

I let my kids get dirty, but I am one of those freaks who HATE sticky, dirty, grimy kids.  I wash my feet before I go to bed because it just makes me feel clean....that's how bad I am.  lol  You can usually hear me repeating "stay out of the mud! Don't get your shoes dirty!"

However, my kids have fun, they get dirty and we hose them off.  Heheh!

Cute pictures...I wish we could go to the park together!!!
