Whew

I'm so glad that yesterday is over. That was definately one of the worst "Anniversary/Angel" days I've personally experienced since probably the first one. The day started off, "ok", now that's not an average person's ok, that's a bereaved mom, who's child died on that day's, ok. I was pretty numb the first half of the day. The boys and I got up, I did a couple things around here, then we went to the castle that's about 10 minutes from us. There are many "gardens" that we walked through. Most the gardens just have tree's in them and wild flowers, but it's very peaceful. There's also a beautiful foutain out there that we really enjoyed.

We got home, had lunch, the boys went down for a nap and the tears started coming. For the rest of the afternoon, evening, and night I was well... emotional. I took the boys for a walk, we went out to the park, and came in for the evening.

You'd think I would have went to bed early, rofl!! Then you don't know me very well! :) No, no, no..instead I was up cleaning. There wasn't a lot to do and I didn't get everything done that I wanted to. I did manage to sweep and mop the floor. I didn't get the table cleaned off like I wanted though. Oh and I got the bathroom cleaned up too! :) Now why was Christy, the woman who does NOT like to clean cleaning last night? Because I'm a procrastinator and I clean best when I'm under pressure! I am watching my friend's 2 yr old son today, and I've been to her home a few times and well her house keeping is much better than mine! LOL Don't think that my home's disgusting, it's really not. It just gets "lived in" and I dont' clean it up like I should as quickly as I should. I let the news papers pile up, the toys scattered about. I don't always sweep the floor every single day, and since we have hardwood floors, you know how fast they get dirty (which puzzles me because we have the no shoes in the house rule). Anyways...it happens and that's me. My bathroom is rocking clean right now too! Ok, the floor imho is NEVER clean enough to eat off, when it comes to a bathroom, especially one that has a liter box in it, and a 5 yr old that uses it, and 2 1/2 yr old that thinks it's just one more playroom...but it's nice and clean...I swept and mopped in there too! So after all that cleaning was done, off to bed I went...and of course I was WIDE awake! I read a few pages of a book I'm reading, then did my devotional, read some of a chapter from the bible, still wide awake. I decided to write on the back of my pictures (I get doubles...1 for scrapbooking the other for photo album). I did a roll of them and finally sleep was coming over me. I finally fell asleep right around 4 am! I was up at 7:30, although I kept waking up, scared I'd over sleep or sleep through the alarm (which I know couldn't happen, because it's one of those that gradually gets louder and it's loudest is something I've yet to hear because it's so loud when I get out of bed and turn it off). I woke up prob. around 5 or 5:30, then again at 6:15 (I put my glasses on for that one), and really just kept dozing in and out from then on out. Tonight I have every intention of going to bed at a decent hour. Really I do! I know Kelly's laughing her butt off at me! She yelled at me last night for still being on this stupid thing after 2 am (I am not only a procrastinator, but also a multi-tasker! LOL )

Well, I have some cute photo's that I need to upload onto the computer. Have a great day, unless I come back and write another entry!

I clean best under pressure too, or when I'm stressed. Can't tell you to rest since I have been up since 3:30 a.m. Just one of those not able to sleep night. Getting way to many of them though. Will have to talk to my doctor about that.
Take care of yourself.

Sometimes we just need a way to keep ourselves occupied so we can process our emotions over time - you go clean, girl!

Be well,
Charley

Glad you got the cleaning streak going and kept busy on this day.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.  That is lovely that you went to the park and gardens.  There are still some days from my past that are hard to get through.  Sounds like you did good and remember, it's okay to cry.  One day you will be reunited and what a day that will be!!

Crazy woman being up that late.  I'm glad I rarely have that problem!  I'm glad Monday is over for you too.  Lousy day, I'm sure.
