He's gone

I know it's been over 2 weeks since I updated, but Chad was home and we were busy spending time as a family. It was a wonderful 15 days, he left this morning. Jacob cried as he watched his Daddy walk away and Jackson kept asking for "daddy". This is the HARD part of being a military family. I cried a little, but tried to keep my composure the best I could while my boys longed for one more hug, kiss, tickle.

We're half way through, and I know we can get through it and I have plans for the boys and I to do some traveling over the next few months. Right now we do a field trip once a week and go visit a castle. This week we went with Chad, on Tuesday instead of waiting until Friday, which is our normal field trip day.

I'll update more later and try to get some pictures up.

God Bless

Glad you made the most of the 15 days with Chad...
You are both in my thoughts and prayers, May God give
ya'll the strength and courage to get through his second half in
Iraq....How much longer does he have..?  Having field trips once a
week is a great idea, i'm sure the kids love it!

I am so glad you got the chance to spend some time with Chad and your kids!  I know it will be hard but like you said your half way done!!  Just think about when he is home to stay!  Traveling sounds like fun!  I will be on that jet plane my self a week from today!!!!  I raised all the money and I will be running the marathon a week from Saturday!  Linda

Nice to see your post Christy.  I figured you were busy enjoying every possible minute with Chad and the boys.  So glad he got to come home and be with you.  We'll be sending him back with lots of prayers and you keep on being strong.  Just a little while longer now and hopefully this will all be over soon.  I've been praying a lot lately for our military overseas.  GBU,
Lisa

Aww sweetie!  I know it must be so hard.  I can't even imagine.  You , Chad and the boys have been in my prayers the past two weeks.  I'm so glad you got the 15 days...though I'm sure they went by very quickly.

My prayers are with you now, too.

Lord, May the 2nd and last phase of this journey be quick.  Bring Chad home safe and sound.  Comfort all of their hearts and minds.....give them the peace only you can offer.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

HUGS!!!!!!
