West to California

Last Tuesday Jackson and I left for California. A dear friend of mine who I met online while pregnant with Jackson and she pregnant with her little boy, gave me a ticket to fly out there to be with my friends, Sonia and Gary. Their little boy, Logan died on May 6. www.caringbridge.org/ca/logan

They lost their oldest son, Christopher to the same diesease, Histiocytosis, www.histio.org. We met while Christopher and our Jordyn were being treated at Walter Reed, and then had their BMT's a week apart. Christopher never left Children's alive. Their daughter had the same disease as well, but had a successful BMT and is alive. Logan's transplant was actually successful, but an infection killed him. So....my friend Lisa, knew how much I wanted to be with Sonia and Gary and gave me a ticket. Jackson went with me. I spent 2 days with Lisa and her family and then 2 1/2 with Sonia and Gary.

I had never been to California before, and loved it. I had never seen the Pacific Ocean before either. The sands at Coronado Beach/Island was very different than at Myrtle Beach. In Ca. the sand was much softer/finer. Jackson, Sonia, Kharisma, and I went to Sea World as well.

I wish there was a different reasoning behind me going out there, but I'm glad I was able to go and be with my friends. I hope you'll be visiting my friends website and praying for them.

I've included some pictures I took during our trip. God Bless
