Not one single parent should know what it's like to hear these words "We're so sorry, but _______ (your child's name) has _________ ( type of cancer here).
I can tell you that's the 2nd worst thing you can be told....
The worst: "I'm sorry but there's just nothing medically left to do."

Christy; thank you for this info. So often, we as parents, never know when to take a child in and seek medical attention. Having a list of symptoms like this could help. And hopefully doctor's won't just assume its something benign without doing some checking a little more carefully.

I agree with you, I thank it is a really trouble thing that a perant and child has to go through!! I am not a mother but I know a lot of beauiful childern and I love them a lot, and when I thank of a child going through something like that I thank it is a trouble thing, I thank the list you put will help other perants if they happen to have the same issue with their child. She was a beauiful child, and I am soooooooooooo sorry for you and your family!

Thank you sooo much for sharing this information. The lump on Nicholas's pelvic area, the rash he sometimes gets, the constant infections, the paleness at times-- I see those are all signs of cancer. We took Nicholas to the ER last night and the doctor told us the lump had something to do with Nicholas getting his shots last week. God, I hope he is right. I just cant loose another baby! I agree with you-- parents should never have to bury a child/baby. Cancer is so scarey.
