Or, he could be like my 16 y/o who is a night owl who to this day cannot go to sleep until around 11:00. If Jackson's taking a long afternoon nap, you might want to wake him up after an hour or so and see if that makes going to bed easier in the evening. Otherwise, a little bribe in the form of a chart "stay in bed chart" type of thing might work. You can make a chart, have him put stickers on it (or even an "X") for every night he stays in bed and then after so many nights (like 10 - not too high of a number) you can reward him with a little treat (something small). That might work.

The Lord always does provide for us, doesn't He? We just need to give it more to Him and stop taking it back or thinking He won't provide for us. Awesome with the testimony you wrote about with Him meeting your needs by watching the kidlets :)

(don't feel bad about wanting them to go to sleep so you can have some of your own time - EVERY parent feels the same way).

bettyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5598304007120326581.post-82974917892033773812005-11-29T18:32:00.000-08:002005-11-29T18:32:00.000-08:00That's so awesome that God is watching over yo...That's so awesome that God is watching over you Christy. How wonderful! I am so thankful and blessed to hear about your miracles as we could really use a few this way as well. I feel it quite often actually. I dread bedtime just about everyday. Im hoping that when we get our boxes from my mom that Sere will be able to settle down and zonk out. Shes my problem child at bedtime and I always feel down right awful that I think that way but apparently its quite normal. @@ at the "Holiday tree" thing. I have been going off about that for days around here. It is and will always be my Christmas Tree.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5598304007120326581.post-60998087359445909972005-11-29T20:51:00.000-08:002005-11-29T20:51:00.000-08:00I think we all get those *blah* days, hon. I know ...I think we all get those *blah* days, hon. I know that I do. I do alright as long as I don't allow myself to focus on the problem, but on THE ONE WHO TAKES CARE OF ME. We both know satan loves to keep God's children discouraged. Once discouraged we become doubtful, afraid, and insecure. But I can tell by reading your entry that you love the Lord very much. And don't forget, with a hubby away in Iraq you've got lots on your mind. I do keep you in my prayers, and always pray for your husband and the rest of the men and women in the armed forces. You take care of yourself. Do something nice for YOU, no matter how little a thing it turns out to be. Love you much,
Barb- http://journals.aol.com/barbpinion/HEYLETSTALK
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5598304007120326581.post-52694000245299246702005-11-29T21:04:00.000-08:002005-11-29T21:04:00.000-08:00My two year old goes to bed so easily now, but has...My two year old goes to bed so easily now, but hasn't always in the past. I got to the point that a swift swat did the trick. Now she tells me when she is ready to go to sleep and man, she does. I can't believe you are still up! Or were. After watching all of those kids! yikes. I know what you mean about the needing time alone. I am up and everyone else is asleep. I needed a break. From everyone. God is good.
TraciAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5598304007120326581.post-29710840794239892852005-11-29T22:13:00.000-08:002005-11-29T22:13:00.000-08:00Oh, everyone feels blah sometimes.
